Hello, and welcome! I'm Mike, and I make crafty things! I will be posting various photos of my crafting projects here. Right now it's mostly loom knitting, but who knows what the future will bring!
And then, I was done. All 8 Homestuck kid symbols, done in Perler beads. Took two evenings, and a whole lotta beads.
I learned that my big clumsy fingers don’t like to finely maneuver the beads after the third or fourth thing made, so… learning experience! Also learned that my little ironing board is not so good for ironing these things on. Tends to lead to uneven melting, so I gotta find a work around.
But hey, I’m done, and they came out pretty damn good! Now I just gotta figure out what to do next.
And fused. Took a bit longer because the ironing board fell over and Jane exploded, but it’s okay, I rebuilt her.
And now to do the other 4. At some point.

This is a neat idea, and something I may try some day!
kiggtastic asked: I forgot you had a blog for this! I am excited to be updated on the things you make :)
Hopefully I’ll update it more often than once every few months! (oops)
The realization is dawning on me that I am gong to have to sort these out into the separate colors.
This is gonna take a while.
Anonymous asked: How did you make the bear ears? I'd love if you could tell me!! Thanks!!! Traci B.
It’s actually rather easy. I just used the 24-peg round knitting loom, and stitched about 6 rows with it, and then basically folding it in half and sewing it closed. I’ll see if I can have a more detailed instructive post for that up soon :)
I made this last weekend. Just a little experiment in bear hat making. Second hat I’ve ever made, first with ear flaps. The ears turned out really good, I think.
Hey guys, got a question for you.
Do you have any ideas of things I can do? Right now, I can loom knit and create perler (melt) bead things fairly easily, and I’m going to be learning how to FOR REALZ knit and crochet here soon. I can also make some papercraft, but my big hangs are clumsy and dumb when it comes to fine folding sometimes.
But, you guys got any suggestions of things I should try to make, or skills I might acquire?
Cant’s believe I forgot to upload a photo of this. It’s just a simple loom-knit beanie, done in the same colors as a scarf I did. It’s comfortable, and keeps my head warm while not letting it get too hot. Plus they’re pretty easy and quick to make!
Goes well with my orange shirts (and orange Hero of Light hoodie).
The next hat I do will probably be of the ear-flap variety.
